Steven Adams Gobbles Up Season-High 21 Rebounds
2 years agoMemphis Grizzlies center Steven Adams had a huge game on the glass in Saturday's 116-101 victory over New Orleans, finishing with a season-high 21 rebounds. He had 16 rebounds on the defensive end alone and was able to grab his second consecutive double-double by getting to 10 points on 4-for-6 shooting. It was a very busy 27-minute shift at the office for Adams, with him also recording three assists, two steals and two blocks. Adams isn't a shiny fantasy asset, but the guy quietly puts in work each night and is averaging a career-high 10.8 rebounds this season with 8.0 points and 1.2 blocks. He has gone into double figures in rebounding five times in his past six appearances, and the 29-year-old Kiwi should have a great start to 2023, with a number of very favorable matchups coming up for him, including a clash with the Hornets, who have been shockingly poor against opposing centers all season.
