Detroit Lions linebacker Steve Longa (knee) was placed on the Injured Reserve on Monday due to a torn ACL. Longa was forced to leave Friday night's game against the New York Giants because of the injury. The third-year linebacker appeared in 15 games for Detroit last season and was poised to be a backup at outside linebacker this season. While he wasn't a key contributor on the defensive side last season, he played a big role on special teams. Now, the Lions will look to Freddie Bishop or Miles Killebrew to take his spot. Bishop made four tackles during Friday's game and has had a solid camp, while Killebrew recently moved over from safety.--Steve Janik - RotoBallerRead More News
