3 years agoThe New England Patriots placed All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore (quadriceps) on the Physically Unable to Perform list on Thursday. It's not a surprise, as Gilmore has been working his way back from a partially torn quadriceps that limited him to 11 games in 2020. Gilmore sat out mandatory minicamp and is also seeking a new deal, but he's confident the Patriots won't try to trade him. The 30-year-old four-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro is the centerpiece of the Patriots defense in the secondary, and their defensive unit as a whole should be much improved with the return of Dont'a Hightower and Patrick Chung after the opted out last season. Gilmore is one of the best shutdown corners in the NFL, but he's not much of an IPD asset.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
