Steelers Waive Donte Moncrief

The Pittsburgh Steelers waived wide receiver Donte Moncrief on Saturday and promoted running back Tony Brooks-James to the 53-man roster in a corresponding move. Moncrief never made an impact in Pittsburgh, and he never really had a chance once quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (elbow) was lost for the season. The 26-year-old caught just four passes (15 targets) for 18 yards in four games this season. He was already well off the fantasy radar before being cut. Brooks-James will serve as depth behind Jaylen Samuels and Trey Edmunds with James Conner (shoulder) and Benny Snell Jr. (knee) out for Week 9 against the Colts.
