Starling Marte Open To Being Traded
5 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Starling Marte, who has two years left on his contract at $11.5 million in 2020 and a $12.5 million option for 2021, is open to being traded to a contending team this winter. The Mets have been linked with the All-Star outfielder, and Marte said it would be "an honor to play with them." Marte hit .295 with an .845 OPS and 25 steals last season and can contribute across the board for fantasy players as an early round pick. Moving to a contending team would also be slightly better for his overall numbers.
