Florida Panthers goaltender Spencer Knight has signed a three-year extension with the club that will come into effect next season. His new deal has a $4.5 million cap hit and is worth $13.5 million in total. Knight was handsomely rewarded for an impressive rookie season. He put together a 19-9-3 record in 2021-22 with a .908 save percentage and a 2.79 goals-against average. Knight owns a 23-9-3 career record and looks set for a very successful spell in the NHL. He'll be battling for playing time with Sergei Bobrovsky again in 2022-23 and both should benefit from the competition. Florida's No. 1 ended up posting an outstanding 39-7-3 record last season after Knight's rise to prominence.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
