Spencer Knight Enters Player Assistance Program
2 years agoFlorida Panthers goaltender Spencer Knight will be unavailable to play for an indefinite period while he receives care from the player assistance program of the NHL and NHLPA. He can return to action once he is cleared for on-ice competition by the program administrators. Knight has struggled for consistency all season long and has a 9-8-3 record with a 3.18 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage. The 21-year-old has received only three starts since the turn of the year and was recently sent to the AHL. Sergei Bobrovsky will make his 37th start of the campaign Friday versus Buffalo, with Alex Lyon working as his backup.
