Slumping Robby Fabbri Scores Lone Goal in Loss
5 years agoDetroit Red Wings forward Robby Fabbri tied the game with a first-period goal against the Lightning, but Detroit failed to muster any more offense, falling 2-1 to Tampa Bay. Detroit managed only 20 shots on net as a team, led by Luke Glendening's five shots, but Fabbri was the only one able to convert. Fabbri now has just two points in his last seven games, despite scoring 17 points in 23 games since joining Detroit earlier this season. His outstanding 20 percent shooting percentage is due for regression compared to his 13.5 percent career average, but his 0.74 points per game average with Detroit is by far the best of his career. Owned in only nine percent of Yahoo! leagues, Fabbri does not need to be rostered, but as one of Detroit's only offensive weapons, he can be a useful streaming option in the right matchups.
