Shohei Ohtani Plays Catch From 90 Feet

Los Angeles Dodgers two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani (elbow) played catch from 90 feet on Monday for the first time in his rehab process. Ohtani had Tommy John surgery last September and will not pitch at all in his first year with the Dodgers, but he's making strides with his throwing program as we approach the All-Star break next month. The 29-year-old could play some games in the outfield later this year if he continues to progress at a nice pace, but don't count on it. On the offensive side, Ohtani's right-elbow surgery hasn't slowed him down at all, as the two-time American League MVP is currently leading the National League in runs scored (61), home runs (23), batting average .321 (97-for-302), slugging percentage (.632), OPS (1.031) and total bases (191). Continue to throw Ohtani into your fantasy lineups on the daily.
