Shohei Ohtani Likely To Pitch On Sundays
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani will work in an intrasquad game this Sunday, which likely means that he'll pitch on Sundays during the regular season. The team has three off days on Mondays, which would give him a day of rest without missing a game as a designated hitter. The two-way star won't serve as the DH on the day before or after he starts on the mound. Ohtani is returning from Tommy John surgery, so the Angels will play it safe with him in 2020 and start him just once a week. The upside will be somewhat limited for the 2018 American League Rookie of the Year because of that, but Ohtani is still worth an investment as an SP3 in all mixed leagues. His current ADP sits at 128.
