Sharife Cooper Shines With 27 Points
1 year agoCleveland Cavaliers point guard Sharife Cooper scored a game-high 27 points on 8-for-12 shooting in Friday's 101-97 Summer League win versus Brooklyn. The 22-year-old had a quiet start to the game and amassed only four first-quarter points, but he came alive in the second and eventually led his squad to victory. Cooper, who was 2-for-4 with the three-ball and 9-for-11 at the free-throw line, also collected three rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two blocks. The former Auburn Tiger made his NBA debut with Atlanta back in 2021-22 and is now looking to make it back into the league after enjoying a couple of strong G League campaigns. However, it's very tough for him to make the Cleveland team, as the Cavaliers are full of backcourt quality.
