3 years agoThe Carolina Panthers expect linebacker Shaq Thompson (foot) to miss some time with an apparent foot injury that he suffered in the Week 4 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, according to a source. Thompson's injury sounds like a week-to-week deal, so there's a chance that he can avoid being placed on the Injured Reserve, which would require him to miss at least three games. The 27-year-old currently ranks 18th in fantasy points among linebackers in IDP leagues with 16 tackles, a sack, three passes defensed and one interception. Thompson is the Panthers leading tackler through four games, so he'll certainly be missed in Week 5 against the Philadelphia Eagles if he's unable to play.
