Several Jets Players Won't Play Thursday
6 years agoNew York Jets running back Isaiah Crowell (head), wide receivers Quincy Enunwa (thumb) and Terrelle Pryor (ankle) and tight end Chris Herndon are not expected to play in the preseason game on Thursday. All of these players should be fine, but the Jets are just being cautious with several weeks to go before the regular season. Crowell's hold on the starting job has shrunk with his injury in training camp, but the Jets will likely employ a committee approach also including Bilal Powell and rookie Trenton Cannon. Enunwa and Pryor aren't helping their chances of earning big roles in the passing game, especially Pryor. Enunwa has the opportunity to be the No. 2 wideout behind Robby Anderson.
