The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the New York Rangers by a score of 4-1 on Tuesday night. Sebastian Aho scored two goals -- including an empty-netter -- and added a helper in the game to seal the Rangers' fate as the Hurricanes swept the best-of-five Stanley Cup qualifying series. Warren Foegele and Teuvo Teravainen had the other goals for Carolina. The true star of the game was goaltender James Reimer, who was starting his first game of the playoffs. He faced 39 shots with numerous high-pressure situations as the Rangers controlled much of the first two periods of play. On the other end of the ice, rookie goalie Igor Shesterkin was solid in net and stopped 27 of 30 shots. Chris Kreider had the lone goal for New York. --Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
