Los Angeles Kings defenseman Sean Durzi has signed a two-year, $3.4 million extension that keeps him with the team through the 2023-24 season. The deal carries an average annual value of $1.7 million and will see Durzi maintain his RFA status once the contract expires. Last season the 23-year-old blueliner put up 3 goals and 24 assists in 64 games during his rookie campaign, including 15 powerplay points. Drew Doughty will remain in front of Durzi on the depth chart for now, meaning he won't see much powerplay time with the Kings' top unit with Doughty healthy. However, Doughty hasn't been the pinnacle of the health in the past few years, and if he were to go down to injury Durzi would see a nice deployment increase. He could be worth a late-round flyer with his high upside.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
