6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies infielder/outfielder Scott Kingery will cover third base against the San Diego Padres on Tuesday. Maikel Franco normally gets the start at third base, but he's been horrible with the bat, so the Phillies are giving him the day off. Kingery will cover third and bat seventh versus righty Chris Paddack. Kingery could see more action especially with Andrew McCutchen (knee) done for the season. The Phillies are down an outfielder, so when Franco is at third, Kingery will likely be in the outfield.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
