3 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (knee) will play on Thursday night against the Washington Football Team, according to a source. Barkley was questionable coming in, and he even admitted that two games in four days was not ideal after returning from a torn ACL in 2020. As expected, the 24-year-old was eased into the season-opening loss to the Denver Broncos last Sunday, getting only 10 carries and three targets on a 48 percent snap share. The Giants are expected to slowly increasing Barkley's workload as the season progresses, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect a big spike on the short week. On top of it, Barkley is facing a strong Washington defensive front in the rain in D.C. For at least one more week, he'll be more of an RB2/3 than the typically locked-in RB1.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
