San Francisco 49ers D/ST A Top Option In Week 15
12 months agoThe San Francisco 49ers D/ST came up with four sacks and two interceptions while allowing 16 points in last week's win versus the Seattle Seahawks. While the two picks have been typical --they lead the league with 17 -- San Francisco has upped its pass rush game of late, averaging 2.25 per game before the Week 9 bye and 4.4 after. The 49ers take on the Cardinals in Arizona on Sunday. In the four games since quarterback Kyler Murray's return, he's been sacked 11 times and thrown two interceptions. The Cardinals are a bottom-10 offense, and though they're surely different when Murray is playing, Arizona is still unlikely to score more than two to three touchdowns against San Francisco's quality defense. Javon Hargrave's (hamstring) absence and Dre Greenlaw's (hip, ankle) possible one could take some of the oomph out, but the 49ers D/ST is as good a play as any in Week 15.
