Sam Reinhart Hopes To Stick With Panthers
1 year agoFlorida Panthers forward Sam Reinhart hopes to secure an extension with the team but isn't stressing about his new contract ahead of the 2023-24 season. "We have no problems sort of waiting it out so I am just looking forward to the start of the season being here," Reinhart told George Richards of Florida Hockey Now. "We have both expressed our interests and our desire for me to be here. And that's exciting. My focus is solely on the start of camp and the start of the season." Reinhart has been a very good fit in Florida, recording 149 points (64 goals, 85 assists) in 160 games across two seasons. He signed a three-year, $19.5 million contract with the club back in 2021, but will be in line for a significant raise when the deal expires.
