Sam Moll Expects To Be Ready For Opener
10 months agoCincinnati Reds left-hander Sam Moll (shoulder) is the team's only pitcher in camp yet to throw a bullpen session due to shoulder soreness he experienced during his offseason throwing program, but the veteran southpaw has been playing catch and is expected to be ready for the start of the 2024 season. He was one of the Reds' best performers down the stretch in 2023, posting a 0.73 ERA in 25 appearances after being acquired in a deadline trade with the Oakland Athletics. The 32-year-old reliever had a 3.03 ERA and 1.23 WHIP overall in 62 1/3 innings pitched last year with one save, 30 walks and a career-high 68 strikeouts. Moll will mostly serve in a middle-relief role and isn't really on the fantasy radar entering the season.
