7/12:Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez has had a pretty rough year. He started the season on the disabled list due to his entry into the big book of weird baseball injuries by tearing his PCL by picking up his suitcase. Upon returning, he got hot for a little while but then faded into the background as his power was sapped. He hit just .152 for the month of June with only five extra-base hits all month. Now sitting at .217 for the season, Perez has started to come out of his funk and drive the ball more. Already in July, he's got three extra-base hits, and he's got a name-recognition All-Star selection under his belt. It's looking like it's going to be an off year for the catcher, but if he can get hot, he could end up being a great buy-low candidate over the All-Star break.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
