9 months agoUpdating a previous report, Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Ryne Stanek is no longer listed as the opener for Thursday's game. Instead, pitcher Ryan Yarbrough, who was called up in light of Yandy Diaz's placement on the injured list, will be the starter. Presumably he will pitch the bulk of the innings, as has been his Major League role whether starting or following, but that has not been announced. Now that Yarbrough is starting, he is somewhat less likely to get credited with a win. However, with Thursday's DFS slate a mere two games and facing a weak Cleveland Indians offense, Yarbrough is a decent play nonetheless. He has a 44-to-7 K-BB ratio in 37 2/3 innings across MLB and Triple-A this season.--Nate Green - RotoBaller
