Ryan O'Hearn Fills Up Stat Sheet in Victory Over Boston
Ryan O'Hearn was the team's main offensive standout in a 5-1 win over the Boston Red Sox on Sunday. O'Hearn went 3-for-3 with a homer, a double, a walk, and an additional run scored in the contest. He took Red Sox right-hander Greg Weissert deep for a 396-foot solo shot in the sixth inning to highlight his afternoon. The 31-year-old posted above-average production in the previous two seasons but didn't enter the campaign with much fanfare. Nevertheless, O'Hearn has found another gear so far in 2025. O'Hearn has amassed 172 trips to the plate and slashed a prolific .329/.419/.537 with eight home runs and palatable strikeout and walk rates (16.3% and 11.6%, respectively). The lefty-swinging O'Hearn, who has done the lion's share of his damage this year against RHPs, will face St. Louis Cardinals righty Erick Fedde on Monday.
