Ryan McMahon Goes Yard Twice In Return
6 years agoColorado Rockies infielder Ryan McMahon was certainly ready to go when he returned on Thursday against the Phillies. McMahon hammered his first two home runs of the season, driving in five and single-handedly topping Philly's score for the game. McMahon had previously missed 10 games due to a sprained elbow, but it looks like that's fully healed now. He also put two other balls in play with exit velocities topping 100 mph, so hopefully this is just a sign of things to come. McMahon has serious power potential if he can get regular at-bats. He should see regular playing time while Daniel Murphy (finger) continues his rehab, but once he returns, McMahon will be battling Garrett Hampson for a regular spot. Consider the battle to have already begun.
