Ryan Hartman Takes Down Nashville
2 years agoMinnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman scored the game-winning goal and posted one assist in Sunday's 4-3 triumph over the Predators. Kirill Kaprizov's two goals put Minnesota in a 3-1 lead in the third period but a late goal from Hartman was eventually needed to get the two points. He scored his seventh goal of the campaign with 21 seconds remaining in regulation, which is the third-latest go-ahead goal in franchise history. It was a great moment for Hartman, whose season has been a nightmare overall. He averaged a career-high 0.83 points per game a season ago but has managed only 0.53 in 2022-23. The 28-year-old has been back on the top line with some success lately, but a player of his caliber should still be able to do a lot better. Hartman has recorded only 18 points in 34 games for the season overall.
