Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen (upper body) won't be on the ice in Friday's season opener against Vancouver. He and Ryan Ellis (undisclosed) have both struggled to get ready for the first game of the season and it just comes a little bit too soon for the former Sabre, while Ellis is ready to go. Ristolainen is day-to-day and might feature on Monday against Seattle. Ellis will join Ivan Provorov on the first defensive pairing and is set to skate on the second power-play unit as well. Carter Hart, who had a miserable time last season with a 3.67 goals-against average and a .877 save percentage, starts in the net.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
