1 year agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun (back) was able to participate in a workout on Thursday. While details of that workout are unknown, the team will use it to determine if he is ready to return from the disabled list. The fact he was able to participate shows that the outfielder could be close to making his return. Braun has been out since July 7 with a back strain. When on the field, the former MVP has hit just .235 with 10 home runs, 35 RBI and seven stolen bases. Braun is still an offensive weapon and plays in one of the better hitting teams in the league, however, he hasn't been as explosive in years past. While he's still worth rostering, owners have to understand that the 2018 version of Braun isn't the same as the 2008-2012 version.--Dan Fappiano
