Ryan Blaney has to be a bit concerned qualifying 19th at Talladega. The Team Penske car has an average finish of 11.0 with two wins in his past seven races on the 2.66-mile track. Blaney did lead 23 laps despite beginning 22nd in April. However, he fell back outside the top-ten as his car just could not sustain that speed over the final 68 laps. Pit strategy and maybe the pits themselves will play a role in his No. 12 Ford. Blaney does have stage points in ten of the last 11 races at Talladega.
