Russell Wilson Throws Three TDs In Loss
6 years agoSeattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson racked up three touchdowns in a game for the first time since Week 1, but he came up just short against the Rams on Sunday. Wilson finished 13-for-21 for 198 yards, and for the first time in his career, he finished the game with zero rushing attempts. Head coach Pete Carroll told reporters on Monday that the Rams regularly kept a spy on Wilson to ensure he didn't run anywhere, but that opened them up for more yards by Seattle's running back duo who combined for 184 yards on the ground. The growth of Seattle's running game should help Wilson take more advantage through the air, so while his yardage numbers may suffer, it wouldn't be surprising for his TDs to go up.
