Russell Westbrook Makes History With Sunday's Triple-Double
2 years agoLos Angeles Lakers point guard Russell Westbrook recorded his fourth triple-double of the season on Sunday against Philadelphia, finishing a 113-112 loss with 20 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists. He shot a good 7-for-14 from the field and 2-for-5 from deep, but unfortunately for the Lakers, Westbrook couldn't hit his final attempt at the end of the game when he had a chance to grab the victory for the team. In 34 minutes off the bench, Westbrook added one steal and one block to his tally. The former MVP now boasts the most triple-double off the bench (4) in NBA history, having previously shared the record with Detlef Schrempf. Westbrook has done a very good job leading the second unit, averaging 15.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and 8.2 assists as a reserve this season.
