Royce Lewis Tearing It Up In AFL
5 years agoMinnesota Twins prospect Royce Lewis is slashing .375/.426/.688 with three home runs and 18 hits in 12 games for the Salt River Rafters in the Arizona Fall League. He started slow this year in the minors and was slowed by an oblique injury, but he's making up for lost time and showing why he was a highly touted shortstop prospect in the first place. The 20-year-old hit a disappointing .236/.290/.371 with 12 home runs, 49 RBI and 22 stolen bases in 127 games for High-A Fort Myers and Double-A Pensacola this year, but he's an intriguing dynasty stash for his power and speed combination. MLB.com lists him as Minnesota's top prospect and No. 9 in all of baseball.
