Ross Stripling Lands On Injured List With Flexor Strain

The Toronto Blue Jays have placed starting pitcher Ross Stripling (forearm) on the 10-day injured list with a flexor strain on Thursday. Anthony Kay was called up in a corresponding move and was named the starter for Thursday's game against the Kansas City Royals. Stripling was scratched from Wednesday's start against the New York Yankees with what was reported to be right forearm tightness. Stripling struggled through his first two starts of the year, allowing 13 hits and seven earned runs over 8 1/3 innings. He can be safely dropped in all most leagues at this point.
