2 years agoRoss Chastain did not have his best showing in practice on Friday, failing to get better than 23rd on any of his runs. He did, however, put forth a strong effort in qualifying coming into this race at Phoenix Raceway and is starting in sixth. Chastain has been able to find success here at this track, taking a big leap forward last year by finishing second in the spring race and third in the fall. Chastain has five strong drivers in front of him to start the race and will have a tough time getting to the lead, but if he does get there, he could lead laps and take advantage of the clean air and get to victory lane. Chastain has started the year strong and will look to continue that here at Phoenix.--Eric DeWilde
