Ross Chastain was able to maintain track position in his last few races but will need to make some moves on Sunday in Kansas. He starts in the 24th position as the Chip Ganassi Racing driver did not rank high enough in the metrics. Now, Chastain did lead 12 laps at Talladega and that could carry over some momentum this week. It shows that the car has some potential. How much is that? No one truly knows.
