Rob Gronkowski Ruled Out With Back Spasms Against Saints
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski (back) has been ruled out for the remainder of the Week 8 contest against the New Orleans Saints due to back spasms. The injury woes continue for Gronk, who was returning for the first time this Sunday in the last four games after suffering a punctured lung and broken ribs against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3. Gronkowski was targeted just one time and failed to record a catch in the game before being ruled out for good. It's unclear if this injury will cause Gronk to miss any games, but the good news is that Tampa is on bye in Week 9. O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate will see more opportunities in the second half against New Orleans and in Week 10 if Gronkowski misses any more time.
