Riley Greene To Start Rehab Assignment Tuesday
4 months agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Riley Greene (hamstring), who has been sidelined with a right-hamstring strain, is set to run the bases on Sunday in San Francisco. This marks the last step before he can start a minor-league rehab stint with Triple-A Toledo. It appears the 23-year-old is on track to be the designated hitter for the Mud Hens on Tuesday. Greene, who has been out of the Tigers' lineup since July 25, was having quite a productive season. In 101 games (371 at-bats), he has a slash line of .264/.357/.485 and hit 17 home runs with 15 RBI.
