Riley Greene Playing Catch
2 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Riley Greene (leg) began playing catch on Tuesday, according to MLB.com, a necessary step in the rehab process. The former top prospect has been on the shelf since sustaining a stress fracture in his left fibula during a game on May 30. Greene looked to be breaking out before the ailment, slashing .296/.362/.443 with five homers, 29 runs, 18 RBI, and six steals over 52 games. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect to have the 22-year-old back until at least the beginning of July. In the meantime, Jake Marisnick will likely keep getting the majority of reps in center, but he's batting just .167 through 15 games and owns a career .663 OPS.
