Riley Greene 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: New Approach Unlocks Elite Power
Detroit Tigers outfielder Riley Greene enjoyed a breakout 2025 campaign, taking his offensive production to another level. Greene led the Tigers in nearly every major offensive category, posting career highs with 36 home runs, 111 RBI, and 84 runs scored while slashing .258/.313/.493, good for a 121 wRC+. The 25-year-old changed his hitting approach, prioritizing lift and power over pure contact. Unfortunately, that change came with trade-offs. Greene struck out 201 times, the most ever in a single season in Tigers history. Looking ahead to 2026, Greene is set to be the catalyst of the Tigers' offense. He will hit third or fourth in the lineup daily, and if he can sustain the gains he made in 2025, he carries a 40-home-run ceiling and should collect more than 80 runs and 100 RBI. However, with his new approach, fantasy managers should expect a batting average closer to .240 than .280. Additionally, the Tigers finished last in team stolen bases in 2025 and generally don't like to run, so you shouldn't expect more than a couple swipes from Greene in 2026. Currently, he is being selected as a top-15 outfielder with an ADP of 73.65. As long as he stays healthy, Greene shouldn't have much trouble returning value in 2026.
