Ricky Tiedemann To Throw Again On Wednesday
5 months agoToronto Blue Jays left-handed pitching prospect Ricky Tiedemann (elbow) will make his rehab start on Wednesday in Florida. Tiedemann was dominant in his last rehab outing for Single-A Dunedin last Wednesday, striking out five over 2 1/3 scoreless innings. The 21-year-old southpaw hasn't allowed a run while striking out nine and walking only two in 4 1/3 innings in his last two appearances for Dunedin and appears to be close to being activated from the seven-day injured list to return to Triple-A Buffalo to continue his development. Tiedemann, the team's top pitching prospect, has high-end upside at the next level, but the Blue Jays are going to play it safe with him and continue to build up his arm after he also dealt with an injury last year. It would not be a surprise if he does not make his big-league debut until 2025.
