5 months agoIn a fairly surprising move, the Phoenix Suns have agreed to a deal with free agent point guard Ricky Rubio, at last ending Phoenix’s search for a point guard to pair with Devin Booker. Rubio’s never been known as a shooter, but he is a gifted passer who can help set up second-year center Deandre Ayton to succeed. Rubio could see his assist numbers increase back to the levels they were at in Minnesota, where he often averaged eight or nine per game, but his lack of scoring upside and his long struggle with efficiency make him a risky fantasy option, especially on a team where there aren’t enough offensive weapons besides Booker and Ayton to help take defensive pressure off of Rubio. Consider this a lateral move from a fantasy perspective.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
