Rhys Hoskins To Stay Ready In Florida
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins (knee) will report to the team's spring training facilities in Clearwater, Fla., on Wednesday to join the team's "stay ready" camp during the postseason. However, if Hoskins is able to return from knee surgery he had before the start of the 2023 regular season, he wouldn't be able to return unless the Phillies return to the World Series. The 30-year-old slugger suffered a torn ACL in his left knee while playing defense in spring training and missed the entire regular season, but he might be able to join the Phillies' postseason roster if they advance to the World Series for the second straight season. Still, even if that were to happen, there's no guarantee Hoskins would actually be ready play after missing the entire regular season.
