Reds Place Harrison Bader On 10-Day Injured List
1 year agoThe Cincinnati Reds placed outfielder Harrison Bader (groin) on the 10-day injured list on Monday with a right-groin strain. The team also reinstated left-hander Alex Young (illness) from the COVID-19 list and optioned right-hander Carson Spiers to Triple-A Louisville. Bader injured himself on Sunday against the New York Mets and will most likely miss the rest of the regular season. The 29-year-old was claimed off waivers from the New York Yankees last month and only played in 14 games for the Reds before getting hurt, going 5-for-31 (.161) with no homers, three RBI, three stolen bases and four runs scored in 34 plate appearances. If Bader's season is over, he'll finish 2023 with a disappointing .232/.274/.348 slash line with seven homers, 40 RBI, a career-high 20 steals and 44 runs scored in 98 games with the Yanks and Reds.
