The Boston Red Sox have made it no secret that they are looking for starting rotation help this winter after a cumulative 5.34 ERA from their starters in 2020, which ranked 25th in baseball. There's little chance that they will pursue the top free-agent arm on the market in Trevor Bauer. Boston is expected to pursue 31-year-old Japanese right-hander Tomoyuki Sugano, but they also have interest in right-handers Corey Kluber and Jake Odorizzi and lefty Rich Hill -- starters with good track records coming off injury. Hill lives in the Boston area and had a 3.03 ERA in 38 2/3 innings (eight starts) for the Twins last year, but his strikeout rate dropped and his walk rate went up. Odorizzi, 30, was limited to just four starts (13 2/3 innings) with Minnesota last year due to injury, but he was an All-Star in 2019 after going 15-7 with a 3.51 ERA and 27.1 percent strikeout rate in 30 starts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
