8 months agoThe Boston Red Sox plan to platoon at both shortstop and second base after the serious injury to shortstop Trevor Story (shoulder) last Friday. Romy Gonzalez and David Hamilton will mostly split time at shortstop, with Pablo Reyes and Enmanuel Valdez splitting time at second. Outfielder Ceddanne Rafaela will also see time up the middle in Beantown. Vaughn Grissom (groin, hamstring) will mostly work at the keystone but will also get reps at shortstop. Gonzalez was called up from Triple-A Worcester on Monday after slashing .321/.375/.821 with three homers and 10 RBI in 32 plate appearances on the farm. Grissom, who is expected to start a rehab assignment this weekend, should eventually see regular playing time for the BoSox at the keystone when he's healthy and is by far the most attractive fantasy player of all these middle-infield names.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
