7/31:The Boston Red Sox have asked about San Francisco Giants relief pitchers Tony Watson and Will Smith, but they are both controllable past this year and the Giants are unsure if they want to sell, according to a source. Both Watson and Smith are left-handed and have been great for San Fran this year. Smith has become their closer of late, too. That'd mean a trade to Boston would kill any fantasy value that Smith has accumulated this year. If Smith is dealt, Watson could jump into the ninth-inning duties for the Giants.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
