After spending most of the race running in the middle of the pack, Stewart-Haas Racing's Aric Almirola made a late-race charge for the lead and may have won had it not been for the bumper of Ricky Stenhouse Jr., which sent him across the finish line sideways in third place at Talladega. Although unconventional, it was another successful trip to Talladega for Almirola, who extended his streak of top-10 finishes to eight. Almirola is now tied with Dale Earnhardt Jr. for the longest streak of consecutive top-10 finishes at NASCAR's longest track and will have a chance to break it when the Cup Series returns to Talladega in October.--Ryan Devine
