Ray-Ray McCloud Continues to Impress
6 years agoBuffalo Bills wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud keeps making a name for himself before final cuts are made this Saturday. The sixth-round selection for the Bills out of Clemson has been making waves all preseason. Among those impressed is head coach Sean McDermott. McDermott had the following to say after Thursday's final preseason tune-up game against the Bears, a 28-27 victory: "I thought he had some juice out there, both on offense and on special teams. " McCloud had a 32-yard kickoff return as well as returning three punts for 44 yards. He acted as the primary return man for the Bills. This gave McCloud a great opportunity to showcase his elusiveness on many occasions, which he was always accustomed to doing during his collegiate career. McDermott was also impressed with the poise McCloud showed in this contest. "I thought he looked like he was really under control," said McDermott. McDermott went on to say that McCloud made "positive plays" and "kept getting up the field." It wasn't all positive news for Mr. McCloud, however, as a knee injury forced him out of the game before the Bills pulled off the come-from-behind win. If McCloud cracks the 53-man roster, he will act as a depth player that can fill in at wideout and special teams. Baring some miraculous developments or several injuries to Bills players further up the depth chart, McCloud shouldn't be considered in fantasy leagues.
