Rashaad Penny Expected To See A Bump In Carries
5 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny had the best game of his career last week when he saw a surprisingly heavy workload against the Eagles. Penny blew up, racking up 129 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries, and head coach Pete Carroll, famous for his always competing philosophy, told the media this week that Penny would be in line for more usage in the future. That's all very exciting, but it remains to be seen whether Carroll will actually make good on his words. Carroll has a long history of saying nothing but positives about players who then never see any action, so hopefully this isn't one of those cases. Taking him at his word, Penny could see a big jump in value over the last few weeks of the season. A good showing against an average Minnesota run defense would get him started on the right foot.
