1 month agoThe Texas Rangers are "likely out" on third baseman Josh Donaldson, as his price tag has "exceeded the Rangers' comfort level." The Rangers were also pursuing Anthony Rendon before he signed with the Angels on Wednesday night. Donaldson, 34, should get a hefty multi-year deal this winter after he hit .259/.379/.521 with 37 home runs, 96 runs and 94 RBI in 549 at-bats with Atlanta last season. The former American League MVP can do it all with the bat, but his age makes him a viable injury risk. Landing in Texas would be a great spot for his fantasy value, but it remains to be seen which team will step up and give him the deal he wants.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
