Randy Gregory Signing With Buccaneers
9 months agoFree-agent veteran edge defender Randy Gregory is signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report. The 31-year-old spent most of last season with the San Francisco 49ers after being released by the Denver Broncos early in the 2023 campaign, and he now finds a new home in Tampa Bay. Overall, the 2015 second-round pick has accumulated 106 tackles (78 solo), 22 sacks, 10 forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one interception, three pass deflections, and 11.5 run stuffs in 60 career games with the 49ers, Broncos, and Cowboys. He has not lived up to his hype as a prospect, but he can be utilized as a solid rotational pass rusher. The Buccaneers lost former All-Pro rusher Shaq Barrett this offseason, so Gregory will help fill his role on the edge.
